Downtown Snow Clearing

Downtown Business Owners - its that time of the year, the first snow is here! I have talked with public works about clearing the sidewalk in front of your business. Unfortunately we don't have the equipment for some of the very narrow passages on Stephen Street because of tree wells, and specialized equipment is out of our price range at the moment. We also don't have the manpower to manually clean all of it (nor do we currently have the funds for an extra employee). So we kindly ask you to push the snow towards the curbside, where city crews will pick it up. We appreciate you, your business and your dedication to downtown!
